Scene of the Week: Paging Dr. Busey
The very first review I did for this site was the Gary Busey action flick, Eye of the Tiger.
The mid to late 1980’s had so many classic action movies that it was easy for a movie like Eye of the Tiger to go unnoticed by the general population.
Since I first discovered the film a few years ago, I have made it one of my missions in life to let as many people know of the greatness of Eye of the Tiger.
When you throw the combustible elements of a Vietnam vet named Buck Matthews (Gary Busey) who has been pushed too far and a ruthless, drug dealing, motorcycle gang, you are bound to have some memorable moments. And Eye of the Tiger has many, many memorable moments.
But perhaps there is no more memorable moment that will stick with you, quite like the scene where Buck Matthews, disguised as a doctor, enters the room of one of the bikers who has been hospitalized and uses an interesting interrogation technique to discover the location of the biker gang’s base of operations and the whereabouts of his young daughter.
DISCLAIMER: The scene below should not be watched by the faint of heart!
