Scene of the Week: Rocky Ends The Cold War
Originally I had planned on doing something entirely different with this week’s Scene of the Week, but that idea got put on the back burner when one of Bulletproof Action’s Twitter followers, @BramhallPTGYM, shared a video with us that I knew had to be this week’s Scene of the Week.
This video, a parody of ESPN’s popular 30 for 30 documentary series, is courtesy of the folks over at College Humor. The video takes a look at the events of Rocky IV as if they happened in real life featuring expert analysis from Max Kellerman, Robert Flores and others.
For years now fans of the Rocky Balboa character and the movie Rocky IV, a movie I can proudly say I saw when it opened on Thanksgiving Day back in 1985, have speculated on this movie’s impact on the end of The Cold War. I know I mentioned that very point in a Six Degrees of Action I posted earlier this year, but leave it to the people over at College Humor to bring this fan speculation to life and give Rocky Balboa his just due in this top notch production.
I’ve already watched the video multiple times, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself doing it too…
