Scene of the Week: The Hunted (2003)
The Hunted is a supremely awesome movie that has flown under the action radar for far too long. Somehow Tommy Lee Jones has continued to make kickass movies well into his golden years. Seriously, this guy should be out there hanging out with Bea Arthur and Betty White, not getting into knife fights or chasing down Indians in the West.
The Hunted sees Jones as the grizzled badass L.T. Bonham. He’s an instructor for the baddest and most secret killing machines that the U.S. government has at its disposal. Life is good for L.T. until one of his former protégés flips out and starts slicing up people with his deadly skills and a handful of serrated knives that he bought off of QVC.
Spoilers for the end of the film are definitely in the clip below but if you’ve ever wanted to watch Tommy Lee Jones and Benicio Del Toro carve each other up like a couple of Christmas hams then you should certainly check it out!
