Scene of the Week: The Punisher and his Dirty Laundry

With the recent news of Jon Bernthal being cast as The Punisher in season 2 of the Netflix series Daredevil, I thought it was a good time to re-visit the character who has graced the screen several times but has never quite found its place amongst the classic comic book characters to be adapted. This is a short film produced by Adi Shankar and directed by Phil Joanou that offers a short glimpse into what an average day might look like when you’re so busy dealing out punishment that you can’t even find time to clean your dirty undies.

While you wouldn’t quite call this a “scene” from a movie, it is a short film that was released some time ago featuring the return of Thomas Jane as the Marvel killing machine The Punisher. There were many problems with the 2004 film starring Jane as Frank Castle but as you will see in this 10 minute clip, it doesn’t take a $200 million budget to create a badass killing machine, hell-bent on dishing out punishment by the boatload.
