Scene of the Week: Delta Force Airlines
With the one year anniversary of Bulletproof Action less than a week away, I thought it was only fitting to select The Delta Force for this week’s Scene of the Week.
The Delta Force, starring Chuck Norris, Lee Marvin and Steve James, was the very first movie reviewed on this site back on August 29th, 2014.
Some would call The Delta Force the crown jewel of Cannon films. The Delta Force was definitely a Cannon film, with its over the top action and excitement. Although there was one major difference between The Delta Force and the slew of other action movies that Cannon produced.
There was a rule around Cannon that no movie should be longer than 90 minutes long. Well The Delta Force, which probably not coincidentally was directed by Menahem Golan, was the exception to that 90 minute rule. The run time on The Delta Force is 125 minutes. That’s not an action movie, that’s an action epic!
The scene I have selected shows Chuck Norris boarding an airplane like no other human being on the planet. This scene is so awesome you won’t even mind that the it does not feature the original English dialogue, because let’s face it ACTION is a universal language!
