Scene of the Week: Revenge of the Ninja Final Fight

For our final Scene of the Week for 2016, I thought we would take a look at the climax of one of my favorite 1980’s actioners, Revenge of the Ninja!

Revenge of the Ninja is the second (and in my opinion the best) of Cannon’s Ninja Trilogy from the early 80’s starring Sho Kosugi.

After portraying a villain in Enter the Ninja, the second film allowed Kosugi the opportunity to be in the role of protagonist. Personally, I prefer my Sho Kosugi to be a good guy and in Revenge of the Ninja they pair him up with a pretty awesome foe in the form of a silver masked ninja!

As an aside, I can’t help but wonder if New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Naito and his character transformation from over the summer of 2015 was inspired by the silver masked ninja from Revenge of the Ninja.
