Bad Girls: Maggie Q. – Live Free or Die Hard

Starting out as a young and beautiful model on the Asian continent, Maggie Quigley soon transitioned to TV and then film. Her roles have varied over the years but for the context of this post we’ll focus on her character from the 2007 film Live Free or Die Hard. I don’t recall what her name was in it but let’s just call her that badass Asian bitch who kicked the shit out of John McClane! (Editor’s note: Or you can call her Mai Linh)

Don’t be fooled by that cute little picture I posted above, Maggie Q’s character is a stone cold killer. The Die Hard franchise doesn’t make it a point to have pushovers standing in the way of John McClane so there wasn’t much surprise in the theaters when she turned out to be a conniving villain with bad intentions.

I’ll be honest with you, I can’t stand Justin Long in this movie. The whole hacker gimmick has been done to death and his character is such a weasel that I spent the entire film hoping McClane or someone else would put a bullet in him. So not only was Maggie Q extremely sexy but she was also trying to murder that punk. And she’s the bad girl here?!?!

Maggie got herself super killed in Live Free or Die Hard but her hardcore fans can see her kill all kinds of people in the most recent update of the Nikita character. This time she kills other bad guys so you won’t have to feel guilty about cheering for her when she reaches into her stockings for a tiny pistol. Good or bad, Maggie Q is a stunning actress who is just as comfortable doing action as she is comedy. The total package!
