Scene of the Week: 3000 Miles to Graceland
This week’s Scene of the Week is one that involves rapper Ice-T, NFL Hall of Famer Howie Long, a former cast member of Friends, Kurt Russell, and Kevin Costner. While that is an extremely diverse group of actors it’s also a damn good group as well.
I’m a big fan of Elvis so when I heard that Russell would be donning the sideburns and cape once more (he played the King in a TV movie in 1979) I was immediately excited. When I saw the trailer and found out that it would involve a group of Elvis impersonators robbing a casino and getting into crazy Reservoir Dogs – style shootouts while trying to evade the authorities I was even more pumped.
It’s not a movie that I hear many people talking about, despite how cool the main characters are, and how hot Courtney Cox looks for most of the film. She’s got just the right amount of white trashiness that I find extremely sexy. Couple that with how much I enjoy a good Kevin Costner movie and I’m all in. I’ve even had my Elvis lip curl for the entire time I’ve been writing this post.
