Scene of the Week: You Scratched My Anchor
There is nothing better than being on the open water. Whether you are looking for a relaxing day of fishing, testing your skills as a water skier or just puttering around in a powerboat or sailboat, there is nothing on par with life on the high seas. The only thing that can add to the experience is when you see your friends by their boat and all you want to do is go over there. That is exactly what happens in this week’s eye-popping Scene of the Week.
Caddyshack may be a hilarious golf comedy, but that doesn’t mean it is devoid of action. In fact, the ending features some explosions that outshine many an action film. However, it is the maritime mayhem that gets my blood pumping. From the gut busting quotes, to the high-energy music and the numerous gags we get to see as Al Czervik (Rodney Dangerfield) pilot Seafood around to get to his ‘friend’ Judge Smails (Ted Knight) and his boat The Flying Wasp, Caddyshack hits a home run with nautical action. If you don’t find these hijinks on the high seas entertaining you are a stuffy as Bushwood C.C. member.
