Scene of the Week: U.S. Seals 2
If you have never seen Isaac Florentine’s 2001 film U.S. Seals 2, do yourself a favor and track it down before you watch this week’s spoiler filled Scene of the Week.
U.S. Seals 2 was produced by Nu Image and was a sequel in name only to 2000’s U.S. Seals. The movie starred Michael Worth (Fists of Iron), Damian Chapa (Mortal Kombat) and Marshall R. Teague (Road House). U.S. Seals 2 also has a unique premise that restricts the good guys and the bad guys from utilizing fire arms, which means plenty of martial arts action!
Michael Worth’s Casey Sheppard and Damien Chapa’s Frank Ratliff are the classic example of good friends, but better enemies. Sheppard and Ratliff were once on the same SEAL team, but years after Ratliff went rogue and Sheppard left his military life behind him, the two find themselves on opposite sides with the fate of the world at stake. In this week’s Scene of the Week, we see the final confrontation between the two former SEALS! This fight between Worth and Chapa highlights the amazing fight choreography found through out the film and features one of the most memorable endings to a movie fight that I have ever seen…
