Scene of the Week: Duel of the Titans

Call it a guilty pleasure if you want, but there is no denying that 1987’s Deathstalker II has a very high rewatchability factor. Director Jim Wynorski and the star of the film John Terlesky deserve much of the credit for Deathstalker II not being your typical sword and sorcery type film… because they just wanted to have fun with it and that fun radiates from the screen every time I watch.

There is one scene from Deathstalker II that John Terlesky felt captured the tone of the entire movie. The scene pits our hero Deathstalker (John Terlesky) against the Amazonian wrestling champion Gorgo (Dee Boher aka Queen Kong of Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling fame) in a fight to the death… will Deathstalker be able to use his speed and wits against his much larger advesary?
