Scene of the Week: Terminator 3 – Cemetery Escape
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines doesn’t get many things right. They recast a few of the main characters from previous movies, killed others off, and attempted to one-up the amazing Robert Patrick T-1000 performance from T2 by making this Terminator model have larger and more voluptuous breasts. Big boobs don’t scare me!
Only in the world of late 90’s and early 00’s would Nick Stahl seem like a good idea for an action movie. Somehow, they found an actor more annoying for the role of John Connor than Eddie Furlong.
The below scene has about everything that Terminator 3 has to offer: some decent call backs to the originals, more talk of a future that we’ll never see, and some comically bad scenes that James Cameron would have never used. Arnold, himself, still looks good in this one and the visuals of him carrying a coffin look cool but there are plenty of reasons that this sequel killed the franchise for the next decade.
