Scene of the Week: Blade: Trinity
The Blade Trilogy feels like it is caught in the middle of some sort of cinematic Bermuda Triangle… you’ve got the low budget Captain America (1990) and The Fantastic Four (1994)… you’ve got the bid budget Spider-Man, X-Men and Fantastic Four movies released by Sony and Fox… and then of course the films that have become the standard-bearer for the superhero genre, the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The Blade films really can’t be lumped into any of the other three groups so they have become an island unto themselves. But there are some passionate Blade fans that would say that the reason the Blade franchise doesn’t get the love it may deserve is due to the less than stellar third film, which was was released on December 8, 2004.
Admittedly, I have never seen Blade: Trinity, so I can’t weigh in one way or the other if the film is getting a bad rap from fans or if the criticism is deserved. Feel free to weigh in in the comments section below after you watch this action packed Scene of the Week as our hero Blade (Wesley Snipes) battles Drake (Dominic Purcell), while Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) has his hands full with Jarko Grimwood (WWE Superstar Triple H) and Abigail Whistler (Jessica Biel) shoots some arrows!
