Scene of the Week: Lethal Weapon 4 – Riggs and Murtaugh vs Jet Li

I absolutely adore this final fight scene from Lethal Weapon 4. We’ve been through so much with these characters over the series and even they know they are outmatched when it comes to fighting but they still can’t say no. That’s what makes these characters so damned memorable.

The lengths that the two men have to go through to survive this fight with Jet Li is pretty incredible. This is the fourth film in the series and neither man has ever been pushed quite this far. They take every shortcut possible and resort to using multiple objects as weapons since they’re getting their asses handed to them. You also have to remember that Jet Li was a big star in China but this was his first film in the USA. To give a new actor this much of a push his first time out is surprising and amazing.
