Bullet Points: Strike Back: Vendetta (Part 4)
I said last week I had a feeling this episode was going to be big. Damn, it feels good to be right. Buckle up, as I’ll be your guide once again through another episode of the final season of Strike Back.
- To catch you up: When we last left Section 20, Mac and Wyatt were in a gunfight for their lives against a couple of terrorist brothers, and the rest of the gang just had the party they were attending crashed by some Tel Aviv thugs. They still don’t have the bio-weapon, and we still don’t know what the end game is going to be.
- Shitstorm: This is the best way to describe the episode. The party gets crazy. Novin gets kidnapped. Some big boss over Section 20 gives a kill order for the team to kill Zarkova. There’s fighting in the streets, in an apartment building, at the police station and more fighting in the streets. The team never gets a chance to breathe, and this is definitely the most action packed episode of the season.
- The Cop and The Cabbie: I talked last week about the introduction of these two characters. I had a feeling both would have big episodes this week. There’s a Strike Back tradition I’ve noticed over the years. There’s a lot of guest stars, but rarely do they last more than two episodes. If they make it past their second episode, they might be in it for the long haul. I’ll let you guess if these two make it another episode.
- Zayef: I’ve talked about Zayef before. So far he seems like the big bad guy. I’m not sure. I think there’s someone bigger calling the shots. I do believe Zayef has the bio-weapon back in his possession, so next week could be huge for him. We shall see.
- Novin: Yes! We had an episode with a lot of Novin ass kickin’. She’s put through hell, as she’s tortured to give up intel, but then she goes psycho with a machete. Holy shit! Plus, the shootout in the apartment building reminded me of the awesome action in The Raid. The entire sequence is some of Strike Back’s best action to date.
- So, that kill order: This is huge! Will the team kill Zarkova? We all know Col. Coltrane is in love with her. Does he follow orders, or does he follow his heart? This is Strike Back. I’ll say this: I think Zarkova’s chapter in Strike Back is closed, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Watch the episode, and tell me what you think.
Now it is time for me to give my declassification report for the episode.
- Who gets naked? – No one! I’m starting to get pissed.
- Kill count? – A lot! You actually think I counted? This is Strike Back after all.
- Favorite quote? – Bad guy: One Your Knees Wyatt: Oh, it is going to be that type of party.
- Did we learn anything new? – The bio-weapon can shutdown an entire city’s infrastructure. Basically, crippling an entire city, so if the weapon is used, we are all doomed.
What an episode! Definitely, the best of the season so far. Here’s hoping it only gets better.
- And the MVP Goes To: This was close. We had multiple strong performances. However, I’m going with Novin. She was a badass, and we got to see the soft side of her for just a couple of minutes. Even Novin gets scared sometimes, and that’s okay.
Tune in next week to see if Section 20 can once again save the day!
