Scene of the Week: Remembering David Paul
When this post was first penciled in on our calendar, it was meant to be a birthday celebration for David and Peter Paul or as they are also know, The Barbarian Brothers!
But sadly on March 6, 2020, just two days before his 63rd birthday, David Paul passed away in his sleep.
Our hearts go out to David’s twin brother Peter and we want to extend our condolences to all of David’s family, friends and fans.
David and Peter Paul’s first bit of acting came in the 1983 film, D.C. Cab. The bodybuilding twins would have bit parts in an episode of Knight Rider and the Matt Dillon film, The Flamingo Kid the following year.
Their big break came in 1987, The Barbarian Brothers would land their first starring role in Cannon’s The Barbarians. David and Peter Paul were not your typical sword and sorcery heroes and proved to be two of the more unique characters in action movie history.
It was no surprise when the larger than life twins would find themselves in more movies like Double Trouble, Twin Sitters and Think Big.
This weeks’ Scene of the Week is dedicated to the memory of David Paul and spotlights one of the more memorable scenes from 1987’s The Barbarians where the full grown Kutchek (Peter Paul) and Gore (David Paul) first meet face to face…
