Back in the jail cell Rafa, Trace and Ashoka are still bickering about the same stuff from two weeks ago. Ashoka has another plan to get out but wants the sisters to trust her as it will most likely involve Jedi stuff. The three are brought before the Pykes and Ashoka offers to make a deal, she sends the sisters off to get the spice leaving her alone to do her Jedi Business. I want to think Rafa and Trace are playing along here but they bounce back and fourth between street smart and stupid so fast it’s hard to tell. As they leave the Pykes discuss they know it’s a trick and that “he” knows. I’m assuming Maul. Bo Katan and the Mandos are tracking the ship leaving and discover Ashoka was not on it.

Meanwhile Rafa and Trace plan to go back and rescue Ashoka who is on the loose again. She plans to blow up the entire facility on her way out. While sneaking around she discovers in fact the Pykes are working with Maul, he seems to discover Ashoka but she escapes before he sees her. This bridges the gap to Solo where we see Maul is head of Crimson Dawn. She tracks Maul’s last transmission which came from Mandalore. They discover Ashoka is a Jedi and take her out… again. Rafa and Trace manage to steal some spice they plan to trade for Ashoka. Before she is executed Rafa and Trace come back and the Pykes reveal to them she is a Jedi. She admits that she was but left as all her explosives start going off. This sets up ANOTHER escape. We do get a nice dogfight with some excellent classic Star Wars music beats spliced in. They finally manage to escape but the Mandos are close behind in what’s a subtle nod to Boba tracking the Falcon in Empire. Rafa and Trace tell her even though she says she is not a Jedi she acts like one or how they always imagined they would. Just then Bo Katan comes up and asks for Ashoka’s help to take down Maul. Ashoka is afraid going down this path will lead her back to the Jedi, Rafa and Trace convince her to go and she sets off with the Mandos as the credits roll.

This whole arc has been a mixed bag and a lot of story time to essentially just get Ashoka out of the shadows and back in the game. Rafa and Trace had their brief moments but largely were not great characters, I will not miss them as Ashoka now moves to a much more promising part of her story. It feels like all of this really could have been done in 2 episodes as they escaped and were recaptured I believe 4-5 different times. The good news is Ashoka is back in the game and Ashoka, Mandos and Maul are coming soon!
