Scene of the Week: The Matrix Revolutions

It has been said that “into each life some rain must fall”. But while everyone can accept that statement as being true, rain still has a bad reputation.

After all, rain has ruined baseball games, picnics and parades over the years and if there’s one thing I have learned in my lifetime it is that human beings don’t like when their lives and plans are disrupted.

Some people absolutely hate rain, even though it is an essential part of life on this big blue marble we call planet Earth. But even those rain haters have to agree that rain can enhance an action fight scene like the one in 2003’s The Matrix Revolutions.

This week’s Scene of the Week spotlights the final battle (at least for now) between Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Agent Smith (Hugo Weaving) and there is no denying that the rain adds to the environment and amps up the drama in this epic encounter…
