Scene of the Week: Remembering John Saxon
The staff of Bulletproof Action was saddened by the news that John Saxon had passed away on July 25, 2020 at the age of 83. We send our deepest condolences to Saxon’s family, friends and fans.
John Saxon had nearly 200 acting credits to his name and he made the movies and television shows he appeared in better for being a part of them.
For horror fans, Saxon will always be known for his work in 1974’s Black Christmas and 1984’s A Nightmare on Elm Street (plus its sequels, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and The New Nightmare).
But for action fans there is one John Saxon movie that stands out among the rest of Saxon’s contributions to the action genre… 1973’s Enter the Dragon.
In Enter the Dragon, Saxon played Mr. Roper… a gambler who found himself competing in a martial arts tournament alongside the likes of martial arts icons Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly and against Bolo Yeung… as you will see in this week’s Scene of the Week.
