Bullet Points: Death Angel December
Vigilante movies are something that I will always come back to visit and I am always on the lookout for ones that I haven’t seen. Early this year I came across one that not only had I never seen, but I had never heard of it. I soon found it was a female vigilante movie and I knew I would need to watch. Death Angel December is a 2010 movie that features a strong female protagonist and is surprisingly violent and I immediately had some Bullet Points after my initial viewing. Of course, I also saw the title and would have felt silly giving you it to you at that time. Luckily for you, ‘tis the season for you to enjoy some Death Angel December Bullet Points.
- December Wishes She Didn’t Remember – A young December is coming home only to witness her mother getting raped and her brother getting his eyes stabbed and if that isn’t bad enough December watches them get murdered as she looks in from the window. Fast forward fourteen years later and December has not forgotten the men that ruined her life. Adult December (Leena Kurishingal) has become a vigilante, practicing and killing hundreds in preparation of getting the ultimate revenge. December is a fake name she took after starting her new life, which happens to have included studying criminal justice and working in the evidence department for the police. There is no better way to understand how to get away with being a vigilante and it helps to be in charge of any incriminating evidence.
- Black Widow – December trained for years with a former Marine who teaches her how to be a deadly weapon. She gets close with her trainer but then kills him to prove she can make the difficult decisions. December buys a black widow pendant and goes all in with a black widow back piece tattoo. When evidence comes it that is the same as her family’s murder, December has the lead she needs to get revenge, and that is a good thing because there seems to be someone in the police department supressing the case. I wonder if the inside man is one living officer we see that tries hitting on December? I don’t know why I wonder, because he obviously is because the other officer is murdered for trying to get to the bottom of the case.
- Law Breaker – Mr. Law is in charge of the prostitution racket, and we soon learn that he is the main boss and the one behind December’s pain. His two lackeys, Fisk and Harvey, are terrible human beings who revel in the rape and murder they do so much of. Did I mention that Death Angel December has time for a little most dangerous game? Now that December knows who killed her family she begins her revenge plot and that means pretending to be a prostitute in Law’s organization. It is at this point that Death Angel December decides to get even more violent as December takes out the antagonists one by one. Throughout Death Angel December we see December with lots of kills via knives, guns, tainted cocaine and lots of neck breaking. However she saves the best for last. I never knew I needed a detailed description and then to see in detail a Columbian Necktie. Poisoned condom anyone? December has them and uses them. I didn’t see a sword fight being a major impact in the finale.
Death Angel December is a female vigilante movie so it gets points in my book just for that fact. It is not a large budget feature which means don’t expect high levels of effects. That doesn’t mean that Death Angel December doesn’t have lots of kills and blood. You just need to know what you are sitting down for when watching Death Angel December with its moody narration and color palette combined with gruesome murders. Leena Kusrisingal does most of the heavy lifting in Death Angel December, although the villains are despicable and easy to hate, and she deserves credit for carrying the film. Does Death Angel December have a happy ending? I will leave that for you to find out, but I will tell you that it includes a siege on a house with overweight middle aged men trying to attack a house waiving guns wildly in the air. As most end up dead I would say they performed terribly… terribly awesome. What a scene. Since Death Angel December left you with a good scene, so will the Death Angel December Bullet Points as it is time for some Death Angel December Bonus Bullet Points.
- Also Known As – You might find Death Angel December as The Long December.
- Logo Love – I guarantee someone has the Death Angel December logo on their body with its tribal tattoo and skull mixed with the title.
- That Is Full Quote – “I’d fill you with more holes than a New Orleans whorehouse at Mardi Gras.”
- If You Ever… – Wanted to see a woman running through the forest with an arrow through her calf than Death Angel December is for you.
- Audio Mix – Not sure who did the audio mix or if it was intentional but there are times when the music overpowers the dialogue. The subtitles even gave up and had “drowned out by music.”
- Why Just The Left Quote – “I think I’ll make a coin purse out of your left breast.”
