Bullet Points: Cobra Kai (Season 3)
Season 3 of Cobra Kai delivers everything you would expect and then some as it continues to be one of the most fan pleasing series on any platform.
- Where to Watch?: To watch Cobra Kai please visit: Netflix.com/CobraKai
- When to Watch?: Season 3 of Cobra Kai premieres January 1, 2021 only on Netflix.
And just a friendly reminder that Cobra Kai is the continuation of The Karate Kid film franchise, and it is produced by Sony Pictures Television.
- Kicking It Off: The excitement is in the air as I’m finally able to talk about Season 3 of Cobra Kai. Don’t worry, there are no major spoilers in my review. I’m sure you’re dying to know about the condition of Miguel. You’re probably wondering what the aftermath of the devastating High School Karate Brawl will be. I’m sure you have questions about Sam, Robby, Hawk, Tory and John Kreese. I will point out some characters are more developed than others this season. We also have a couple of familiar faces not returning this season, and a couple of characters who reappear. I’m guessing the main reason a lot of you watch is the extremely complicated relationship between Daniel and Johnny. I’m a firm believer that “Daniel is the real bully” and I think viewers will get a kick out of Cobra Kai making fun of itself when it comes to this question.
- What Else Can I Say: You can tell the makers of Cobra Kai adore and respect The Karate Kid franchise. This is a series filmed with nothing but love and respect for the actors and characters that made The Karate Kid what it is. The effort to make the karate look legit is something to admire. These aren’t all trained martial artists, but it sure looks that way when you watch. You don’t have to be an expert on The Karate Kid to love Cobra Kai. I like how the series uses the films in flashback scenes. For example, from the trailer, you know Daniel visits Japan. This is Karate Kid II territory, and the flashbacks catch you up very quick.
- No Mercy: Cobra Kai Season 3 is a winner. Fans should be very pleased with the results. If you’ve never seen Cobra Kai, now is the perfect time to catch up. Bring on Season 4.
Bonus Bullet Points…
- Teasing: The creators like to tease the fans of the series. Perhaps, they watched a lot of fan theory videos, and threw a couple of “gotcha” moments in just to mess with us. Although Cobra Kai teases, it also delivers. That’s the perfect date in my book.
- Can You Tell Us Anything?: An unexpected love blossoms and a famous rocker, ROCKS!
- Dynamic Duo: Nothing would be possible without Ralph Macchio (Daniel) and William Zabka (Johnny). These two give it their all, and for that, I am forever grateful!
