Scene of the Week: Remo Drops a Log
Recently after a Bulletproof Podcast recording, I was speaking to my colleagues Chad Cruise and Chris DePetrillo (Toyman for those in the know) and we were discussing what year in pop culture had the biggest impact on us… looking back for me it is 1985. Not only was that the year that I discovered professional wrestling, thanks to the hype for the inaugural WrestleMania, but so many of my all-time favorite movies were released that year… Death Wish 3, Commando, The Goonies, American Ninja, Invasion USA, Fright Night and Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins…
The Remo Williams movie franchise did not take off as Orion had hoped. And despite having a ton of books that they could have pulled sequel ideas from, Remo Williams was sadly one and done in theaters. But, the one Remo Williams movie we did get holds a special place in my heart and that’s as good of a reason as any to give it some Scene of the Week spotlight.
This week’s Scene of the Week finds our hero Remo Williams (Fred Ward) in a most precarious position as he is a moving target for trigger happy, evil industrialist George Grove (Charles Cioffi) and his lackey Jim Wilson (Michael Pataki)…
