Bullet Points: Cobra Kai (Season 4)
Cobra Kai Season 4 sweeps the leg when it debuts globally on December 31st only on Netflix. Without spoiling your viewing experience, let me give you a little nibble of what is to come.
- Fan Pleasing Series: Cobra Kai has to be one of the most fan pleasing series on any network or streaming platform. The fans seem to universally be in agreement that the “Brawl in the Halls” in Season 2 and “The LaRusso House Fight” from Season 3 are both epic, and appear like they were fan driven plot lines. I can’t help but wonder if the writers sent out survey cards to the biggest Cobra Kai fans and asked them what they wanted to see happen in Season 4. I have never felt disappointed after watching an episode. Cobra Kai Season 4 is definitely worth the price of admission.
- Karate: As I watched Season 4, I couldn’t help but laugh at all these middle-aged guys acting crazy and loco over a karate tournament. Daniel, Johnny and Kreese all act like you would expect them to act. Daniel still thinks his way is the right and only way. Johnny is still forever trapped in the ‘80s. Kreese still wants to make Cobra Kai the most successful dojo in the entire Valley. Now, let us mix in a new but familiar face I’m legally allowed to talk about, Terry Silver. I’ll say this about Thomas Ian Griffith’s Terry Silver: If you are a fan of his “cocaine” energy, you should feel right at home while viewing Season 4.
- Effort is Rewarded: What I admire about Cobra Kai is the effort put into the fight choreography. All the actors worked hard to “sell” their moves. All your favorites: Miguel, Sam, Robby, Tory, Hawk and Demetri all look and fight the part. Well, maybe not Demetri, but he tries.
- Final Tease: I’ve written many words without given away any of the surprises. I can tell you I really liked Dallas Young’s Kenny. He is the kid on the Cobra Kai side of the poster you might not recognize. I also have new favorite characters after watching Season 4, but I can’t tell you who they are. I believe Season 4 is just the beginning. Cobra Kai is a series that isn’t going away anytime soon. There’s still a lot of story to tell.
- Final Quote: Cobra Kai Season 4 gives you everything you want and more. While I can’t think of one jaw dropping moment from Season 4 that will live in my head rent free for years to come, the season still kicks ass. Drop your plans for New Year’s Eve and watch the latest season of Cobra Kai ASAP at http://netflix.com/cobrakai.
