Nevsky Goes West AGAIN – Production Wraps on Taken from Rio Bravo
One of the more intriguing developments in the action movie career of the hulking Alexander Nevsky, was his decision to “go west” with what is now a pair of action westerns.
Nevsky’s first action western, Gunfight at Rio Bravo, is set to be released later this year, but now we have received news from Nevsky himself that production on the sequel to Gunfight at Rio Bravo has now wrapped as well. See the official press release below…
New Action Western TAKEN FROM RIO BRAVO just wrapped production in Benson, Arizona. Film’s directed by Joe Cornet (A Prayer for the Damned) and produced by Alexander Nevsky (Black Rose).
Storyline: 1874, East Texas. Two friends pursue the Posse, a group of sadistic human traffickers who have kidnapped five women. Along with an Indian scout they race against time to find and free the women before the traffickers sell them to sex-slave buyers at the Mexican border.
TAKEN FROM RIO BRAVO is a direct sequel to Gunfight at Rio Bravo, which will be released later this year. Starring Alexander Nevsky, Matthias Hues (Terror On The Prairie), Irina Antonenko (Gasoline Alley), Don “The Dragon” Wilson (Night Hunter), Cynthia Rothrock (Showdown in Manila) and Joe Cornet. Fight choreographer and stunt coordinator is Art Camacho (Half Past Dead & Half Past Dead 2).
