Scene of the Week: Cool as Ice

Cool as Ice will never be considered a good movie and Vanilla Ice (Robert Van Winkle for those in the know) is not considered a quality actor. However, that is not to say each is without their merits. The fish out of water love story in Cool as Ice may be as cliché as they come but goddammit if I don’t want everything Johnny (Vanilla Ice) has in the movie. The jacket, colorful pants, crazy haircut topped with awesome hats and motorcycle. I want it all. And if anyone told me they do not enjoy “Ice Ice Baby” I wouldn’t want to be their friend.

This week’s Scene of the Week takes a look at Johnny being completely cool as ice when he comes upon Nick (John Newton, Desert Kickboxer) , the jealous boyfriend of Johnny’s love interest Kathy, smashing up one of Johnny’s friend’s bikes.
