Ryan Shoots First: Loki (S2 Ep4) “Heart of the TVA”
Wow, this episode is chocked absolutely full, so much happens it is really hard to keep track. The body count is frankly insane. Me saying that is not even a spoiler cause they are so out of nowhere and massive you won’t guess it.
I have no idea where the series will go from here but I think that is the best thing for the show. I have enjoyed it but it needs a big leap to the next phase beyond what’s happening at the TVA. And boy do we make a big leap… I assume we could just reset all this cause “Timey Wimey”. But for now, I am all for it, we get some payoffs to moments from the premiere and I am pretty sure none of the trailers or sneak peeks have shown anything beyond these first few episodes. Where we go next your guess is as good as mine.
This episode sees a cool moment between Sylvie and Mobius, it’s such a contrast as when he and Loki are interacting he never loses the upper hand. He always has a response and is never rattled. Sylvie breaks him down almost instantly and he never even says a word. It’s so different and shows how even though Sylvie and Loki are variants they are two entirely different people.
I’ve enjoyed the show but coming off the heels of Ahsoka where I was eagerly awaiting all day for the next episode I haven’t really been that way with Loki. I can say next week I will be very excited to see just where they are going next as it feels anything is possible. Just please don’t “bad dream” or time shenanigans it.
