Taken from Rio Bravo Set for Theatrical Release This Summer!
Taken from Rio Bravo, the follow up to 2023’s Gunfight at Rio Bravo, is set to be released theatrically this July courtesy of ITN Studios. Alexander Nevsky, Matthias Hues and Director Joe Cornet are back for the sequel and this time around they are joined by some martial arts movie legends! Check out the official press release below…
ITN STUDIOS IS PLANNING THE U.S. THEATRICAL RELEASE FOR ACTION WESTERN ‘TAKEN FROM RIO BRAVO’ STARRING ALEXANDER NEVSKY
ITN Studios has acquired North American rights to action western TAKEN FROM RIO BRAVO (starring three-time “Mr. Universe” winner Alexander Nevsky) from Premiere Entertainment Group and is planning theatrical release on July 19th 2024. The film now has first US key art!
The action western sees the return of the mysterious gunslinger John Basil Turchin who teams up with a sheriff in pursuit of a gang of sadistic human traffickers known as The Posse, who have kidnapped five women. Joe Cornet, Cynthia Rothrock, Kerry Goodwin, Don “The Dragon” Wilson, James Chalke, Irina Antonenko, Matthias Hues, John Fallon, Robert Madrid and Tatiana Neva round out the key cast.
Joe Cornet directed the film from Craig Hamann’s screenplay. Emmy nominated composer Sean Murray wrote musical score and original song (performed by Tatiana Neva). Alexander Nevsky produced the film for Hollywood Storm alongside executive producers Eric Brenner for ETA Films, Joe Cornet for San Rafael Productions, Douglas “Fini” Finical, Murray, Madrid and Art Camacho (who also served as fight choreographer).
TAKEN FROM RIO BRAVO is a sequel to Gunfight at Rio Bravo which also starred Nevsky and was released in the U.S. by Shout! Studios in January 2023.
