Scene of the Week: Rage Against the Dying of the Light!
This may be the final installment of the Scene of the Week revival, as part of our 10th Actionversary celebration, but the Scene of the Week will not go gentle into that good night! No, this week’s Scene of the Week is filled with rage… 1995’s Rage that is. Produced by PM Entertainment, Rage topped our Ultimate PM Entertainment Countdown back in 2019 and it is filled with numerous Scene of the Week worthy scenes.
There is a very good reason we asked What If PM Entertainment Made The Fast & The Furious? earlier this month. PM Entertainment was known for their brand of vehicular mayhem thanks to some extremely talented stunt professionals and this week’s Scene of the Week is a prime example of the work done by the amazing stunt teams that PM Entertainment called upon over the years.
A truck driver finds out why it is a bad idea to pick up a hitchhiker as he gets caught up in the man hunt for the very wanted, Alex Gainer (Gary Daniels). At least he does until Gainer forces the driver out of his own tanker truck, while it is still moving! Alex then gets behind the wheel and it isn’t long before the PM Entertainment magic starts to happen, with Alex smashing through roadblock after roadblock. The chase intensifies! Wet get truck vs. truck, explosions, vehicles going airborne and last but not least a school bus! It’s ten plus minutes of glorious action and it is this week’s Scene of the Week…
