Women of Action: Petra Silander – Dark Web
The name Petra Silander meant nothing to me exactly 17 minutes before I saw the scene where her character was changing from her not-so-sexy clothes into something much more Lara Croft-like for the film Dark Web.
It immediately piqued my interest.
I consider myself something of a Feminist. The fact that I capitalize it means I have even more respect for the word than your normal “feminist”.
Dark Web sees the insanely hot Petra Silander running from a group of hunters who paid money to track and kill the female prey. They make Feminists like me very pissed off! Why does it have to be a lady that they hunt? Why can’t they just hunt a young man recently home from college? Either way, Dark Web puts young Petra deep into the forest where she can be chased by a bunch of numb-skulls who clearly have never killed anyone before. The movie had an opportunity to show her running in slow motion or drenched in the rain but for some reason failed to show her scantily clothed. Let me help…
Silander is also a successful model and a DJ. I can’t say that I’ve heard any of her music but I’ve certainly become acquainted with her modeling work. Her character in Dark Web isn’t given a whole lot of dialogue, action scenes, or development of any kind, really, but I can’t really knock the movie for its lack of character development when the film itself is a real turd. Petra is most definitely a winner, though, no matter how many times people hold knives to her throat.
