Scene of the Week: Transporter 2 – Hospital Shootout

I haven’t had to spend too much time in hospitals or doctor’s offices but I do know a little something about doors, and they don’t normally stop bullets! 2005’s Transporter 2 picks up the story of mercenary driver Frank Martin (Jason Statham) as he now finds himself as a chauffer for a wealthy Floridian family. All is well for Frank as he has started to bond with the young son of the Billings family when the boy is kidnapped and Frank is forced to turn himself back into some sort of British John Rambo and rescue the boy from the bad guys.

While Transporter 2 is a bit of a fall off from the original, it doesn’t waste any time getting to the action. And when it does, it rarely stops to breathe before the next action scene. That is a very admirable quality in any action movie and an especially great thing for a sequel. One of the more remarkable things to be shown on screen during Transporter 2 would have to be the body of actress Kate Nauta. I know that she’s a model, a singer, and a seemingly very talented person, but she can’t shoot for shit! Someone get Kate some shooting lessons! Just make sure there is no dress code at the shooting range because I don’t know if that lingerie getup is going to get her admission into any of the good ones. Check out this scene where Kate Nauta’s Lola tries her hardest to turn Jason Statham into a human macaroni strainer.
