Tough Chicks: Zoe Saldana – Guardians of the Galaxy

Zoe Saldana is the new hot, tough, and exotically ambiguous actress who seems to be getting all of the strong female roles in Hollywood blockbusters these days.  She, of course, starred in the wildly successful Avatar, the J.J. Abrams helmed Star Trek reboots, and now she plays Gamora in the Marvel film Guardians of the Galaxy. Even though the trailer showed a scene with some of Saldana’s alien skin, the theatrical cut of the movie didn’t have the scene. I guess you’ll have to buy the DVD.

Saldana plays Gamora, adopted daughter of the mega-evil Thanos and a woman who has been trained from a young age to be a weapon; a tool for Thanos to use as he conquers his way across galaxies. Gamora has become a great warrior and decides to go against Thanos and the evil Ronan and she teams up with Star Lord and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Suffice it to say, she makes for one sexy green alien hero-lady.
