Damsels: Judie Aronson – American Ninja
If I had to select one woman who I would have run off with at a moment’s notice it would have been Judie Aronson. Her role as the Colonel’s daughter in American Ninja had me “feelin’ some type of way”; as the kids say these days. With Judie’s role opposite Michael Dudikoff she became my childhood crush and measuring stick for every woman in my life since. I had seen Aronson in Weird Science but it’s a good thing that I had not yet seen her role in the Friday the 13th series because my head might have exploded.
Unfortunately for Judie I am not a talented Hollywood writer/director or I would cast her in every one of my films. I would also cast Ernie Hudson. I guess I just really like Ernie Hudson.
Patricia Hickock was the daughter of the Colonel in charge of the American base and from the impression that we get she is a real goodie-goodie who has never worked a day in her life. Well, she may not be the innocent girl that we think as she falls pretty hard for the mysterious Joe Armstrong after he rescues her from a legion of ninjas and machinegun-wielding rebels. Patricia and Joe share a moment deep in the jungle and she becomes someone that Joe will do anything to protect. That comes into play when the evil Victor Ortega and the Black Star Ninja kidnap Patricia in order to draw out the American Ninja and keep him from stopping their plans.
I would have fought off 600 ninjas to rescue the lovely Aronson.
Is it weird that I have Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes” playing in the background right now?
Oh, by the way, a quick Google search reveals that Judie Aronson is still a fox!
