Bullet Points: Strike Back: Vendetta (Part 6)
Strike Back ended last week with a shocking cliffhanger. I will now try to process the aftermath and determine what is next for Section 20.
- To Catch You Up: Mac went Army of One, but was shot by Zayef and left for dead. Right before Mac was shot, he sees Arianna Demachi. If you remember, she was the Albanian Mafia Gangster who swore a blood oath against Section 20 at the end of Episode 2. It looks like we have a partnership in badness with Zayef and Mama Demachi. Who knows what they have planned, because the episode doesn’t focus on them, it only focuses on Mac.
- The Twilight Zone: Watching this episode felt off. Mac has a wife and kid? What? He seems okay, but is definitely struggling with PTSD. He is also in therapy, and he’s reliving some of his most painful memories. We even have a flashback to an early mission for Mac in Afghanistan. Mac ends up teaming with an Afghan sniper to survive the day. It gives a glimpse of Mac as a soldier, a man of honor and a man who sometimes will ignore an order for the greater good. We only have 4 episodes left, yet we are flashing back to something that doesn’t tie into the plot for this season. That’s what I thought at first, but when you do watch, it will make perfect sense. Everything will fall into place.
- Saying Goodbye: Strike Back has a habit of not being afraid to kill off main characters. The only characters who are safe are Scott and Stonebridge. However, they are nowhere to be found, and this is a new team that has spent the last 26 episodes together. This team gets some flack from the Strike Back fan base. I still see comments about how these guys aren’t Scott and Stonebridge. You know what? They are not, but they are a family, and trust me, this family is now out for blood.
Now it is time for me to give my declassification report for this episode.
- Who gets naked? Claire Cooper. She plays Mac’s Wife. Can you believe it, we actually have some Strike Back sex! Yay!!
- How many nicknames does Novin have? Too many to list. You gotta love her.
- Is Wyatt the best dressed action star ever? You bet your Hawaiian shirt ass he is.
Episode 6 of Strike Back’s final season is gut wrenching and one of the show’s finest hours. It is okay to shed some awesomeness from your eyes while watching.
- And the MVP goes to: Mac. Warren Brown you’re such a damn fine actor. Thank you for giving it your all with Mac. Cheers, Brother!
Tune in next week. I have a feeling it is going to be wild.
Just a word to say that I am a great fan both of the show and of your reviews. It’s always a delight to read your posts after watching a new episode, and to confront my impressions with yours.
This last one has been the finest experience in “final twist” with Strike Back!
Till now, Novin was my favourite character in the new serie, but now I realise the gifted actor Warren is.
Thanks, mate. Keep on sharing your insights, please!
Thanks so much, Vince! I really appreciate you checking out the reviews and for the kind comment. I will continue sharing my insights. I can’t wait to see how this journey ends.
