Scene of the Week: Mission: Impossible
The first Mission: Impossible movie opened in theaters on May 22, 1996. The movie was based off the hit television series that ran from September of 1966 to March of 1973 on CBS. Starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt and co-starring Jon Voight, Jean Reno and Ving Rhames (to name a few) 1996’s Mission: Impossible was the third highest grossing film of the year and would go on to spawn numerous sequels, with two more on the way in 2023 (Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One) and 2024 (Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part Two).
This week’s Scene of the Week is from the movie’s big action finale and it features a high speed train, a helicopter in a train tunnel, the iconic Mission: Impossible music and our hero Ethan Hunt narrowly avoiding death…
