Scene of the Week: Repo Men

One doesn’t normally think of Jude Law as a badass. He’s a scrawny little British dude and aside from James Bond and Scott Adkins, you’re not gonna find too many badasses gracing the screens from the British Isles. That accent might get him laid but it won’t scare away a couple of thugs in a dark alley at night. I guess that is why this scene stuck out to me when it probably wouldn’t have it had starred Jason Statham (also British). Law acts like a bona fide badass here and does it with a variety of weapons; a true sign of badass-ality. It also leads me to my final point: Hallway knife fights are some of my favorite fight scenes. Hell, any type of fight scene in a hallway is pretty awesome. There is something about the limited space and “no retreat” aspect to the hallway that leads to the individuals involved to fight like rabid animals.
